The educational method and aims of Roberta Busechian
As a lecturer at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and at IUAV University in Venice, I have been working since 2015 on an educational method, putting together artistic practice with social groups, sound art culture and theory and mixing them with projects derived from the interests of the students in curation, visual art, performance, visual poetry, new media, humanistic studies and digital art in order to distance them from the idea of sound art asexperimental electronic music and electroacoustic practice. I have worked to to build a consciousness about the social, political, and philosophical matters that distinguish sound art history and development.. In one of my scientific publications, I discovered the potential of sound and listening aesthetics to develop educational projects in a huge amount of humanistic disciplines (Emanuele Arielli, Roberta Busechian: Aesthetical experimentation: sound art and acoustic listening, “The Auditory Object” edited by Elvira Di Bona, Vincenzo Santarcangelo, Rivista di Estetica n.66, 2017).
